Extended Education Ventures (EEV)
At EEV, my responsibilities include designing and editing compelling artwork for use in marketing campaigns via multiple media, including email, direct mail, newsletters, social media, advertisements, blogs, presentations, press releases, and other collateral. My tasks also consist of generating concepts and strategies for new projects and preparing files for distribution that are optimized for their respective mediums.

Challenges
I'm sure you've never seen so much orange in your life! Extended Education Ventures (EEV) is a unit of The University of Texas at Austin that specializes in delivering and promoting continuing and professional educational programs across UT. Since EEV is a part of the university, we must adhere by extremely strict design regulations (hence all of the burnt orange you just saw).The available colors on my palette are scarce, and I can only use one font. While it may seem stressful attempting to come up with fresh designs under limited options, EEV has allowed me to find creative solutions and broaden my design capabilities. For that, I'm forever grateful for this experience and the wonderful guidance I've had from my peers.
Solutions
Mixing and matching font weights and styles has saved my life! By experimenting with elements like stroke width, kerning, and text compression, I've been able to add more variety in my designs over time.Opacity has also been a game-changer for me! As you can see above, I've had the opportunity to triple my color options by using a variety of tones and opacities from the official UT palette.

Overview
During the Fall 2023 semester, several professors at UT hosted an unofficial t-shirt design contest. My Narrative Design professor, Shannon Murray, decided to participate as well and tasked us with creating apparel for AET.
Process
I began with choosing an effective and attractive art style to use for the project. While I had many ideas floating in mind, I settled on a halftone, comic-esque style that incorporated various elements from UT and AET, such as Hook 'Em (the school's mascot), keyboard keys, and monitors.I created the design by sketching an outline in ProCreate first. Once I had a clear drawing that was effective and easy for me to follow, I refined my vector work and polished the design in Photoshop.

In 2022, I was comissioned by DJ Mundo to design the poster for MUNDO UNDERGROUND, a hip-hop radio show hosted by Mundo on KVRX 91.7 FM.

about me!
Overview
about me! is a personal collage I designed in my Design Thinking course, where we were assigned to introduce ourselves without words. The absence of text grants me the creative freedom of finding unique methods of displaying my personality through digital images, and it allows viewers to discover their own interpretation of what they see.Rather than creating a traditional collage with static images, I wanted to implement motion in my design, thus beginning my experimentation with GIFs! This led me to animate several slides pertaining to my interests, background, and design inspirations. The images were edited in Photoshop and animated using Adobe Animate.
atl
atl is a monument concept I created in 2022. I generated the 3D model in SketchUp using various 3rd party assets, and later imported the model into a street-view map. The final graphic was designed using Adobe Illustrator.The word atl means “water” in Nahuatl, a language spoken by many indigenous Mexicans throughout the nation. In locations where water may be scarce, its value never goes underappreciated. I designed this monument to be located in the town of Azogueros, San Luis Potosi, where my mom is native to. The monument is dedicated to the rainfall that blesses the town’s crops and maize.
Overview
goody is a natural dog treat brand focused on providing quality ingredients to pups of all ages and sizes. In addition to being ethically sourced and all-natural, goody aims to ensure all dogs have access to healthy, tasty snacks (because every good boi deserves quality treats)!
Objective
For this brand mockup, I decided to center on pet-related food insecurity. Often times, low income dog owners don't have access to providing their fur angels with natural ingredients and sustainably sourced products. While natural-based items typically have a muted, earthy packaging palette, I decided to make a radical design change and center goody's branding around bright tones and fun visuals to welcome all customers.

Sweet Candy
HBO
Sweet Candy is an HBO original teen drama series starring Sofia Wylie. The show centers around Candy (portrayed by Wylie), a former child actress navigating through her teenage years in 1998 while overcoming her trauma and leaving her life of fame in the past.Sweet Candy is a fictional series created during the Spring 2023 semester in Professor Natasha Davison's Business of Entertainment course. My team and I developed the show's premise, budget, location scouting, set and costume design, and marketing plan over the span of 2 months. At the end of the semester, we presented our concept to a panel of industry professionals for feedback.
WiseReg
WiseReg is a mobile application that assists UT Austin students with class registration. With the help of our specially designed smart filters and timeblock input, registering for courses is a breeze.
